Reports from the US of A are showing that the iPhone 4S is missing a 3G toggle switch. Not sure myself if this is carrier dependent, of whether all models globally lack the feature. If it is global it's a problem for areas of poor connectivity as it'll eat batter life.

Can confirm the missing 3G activation button - apparently due to return in iOS 5.1.

The 'confirm' relates to the actual current state and the 'apparently' relates to an as-yet rumoured remedy :)

They are mutually independent phrases!
