I think Note Everything offers a greater range of types of notes you can keep.  For me it has also served to go a long way to replacing ListPro which I was using on Windows Mobile, as it has checklists too.  It's easy to use, you can create folders within folders, encrypt notes, and set alarms, though it doesn't have its own server like Evernote.  The types of notes you can keep are:
textnote
paintnote (can use for sketches or 'handwritten' notes)
voicenote
photonote
checklist
durable checklist (for repeating checklists, such as shopping lists; splits the list into 3 tabs: all, need and done)
gallerynote (notes for existing photos)
videonote
note from barcode
note from Google docs

I've used it for a couple of years now and just like it! :)

Ah right! The server side is the clincher for me at the moment as I change devices regularly and it makes it easier to transfer notes.

Does it have a note import / export facility at all?

Yes. You can import from Outlook, Note Pad, OI Notepad, and AK Notepad, as well as Palm memos. You can also import txt and xml files.

It does export but it looks like txt file format and then whatever format the phone defaults to for images, sound files, etc. As I've never used the export function I can't say how easy that is to use with other devices.

Hope that helps. :-)

Right, I was thinking of a total notes export so that one could export from one phone and import to another. So it looks lie I'll be sticking with Evernote for a while at least.
