A tweaked camera app has been released for the One X, offering some new options for high quality photography.
The HQ Camera For One X mod is all about pushing the phone's camera past is previous limits. While software used to put a 10Mbps upper limit on 1080p video compression, the mod doubles that to 20Mbps, reportedly producing a world of difference in video quality with far fewer artifacts.
Still photography gets a similar bump in quality by reducing compression, letting you save JPEGs with their compression set to zero. As a result of the bigger files you'll be producing with this tool, it also removes image size limitations.

hTC have had a decade or more to improve their phone's camera capablities, but still they struggle even on their latest flagship device.
Have you noticed any improvements with the update Daron?

HTC have made strides with cameras in recent months. When I was using the Titan beside the Lumia 800 it was apparent that the Titans camera was a lot better than the Nokia in terms of depth of focus and image clarity.
Another review I've seen (but which wasn't published) also comes to the same conclusion despite all the hype about the Nokia camera.
Hopefully this trend will continue for HTC

I've not loaded the camera hack at all as so far the stock camera has exceeded my expectations and is performing wonderfully.
