the error with Viigo, when launching it, is not .net compact framework related.
it is becasue Viigo is not compatible with PIE 6, it needs PIE 5.
roms without pie6 installed should work with viigo.

check:

Viigo public beta error - xda-developers

it is a google cache page fromXDa because xda original page doesn't seem to work.

Thanks for that info, but in our instances that simply is not the case. None of the devices reporting the .net error were running PIE6

The most likely explanation for the XDA Devs post is that the ROM cooker had not installed .net CF 3.5, and was using the stock .net 2.0

this is not my case, i have .net compact framework 3.5 built in ROM and i have the problem too. Installing .net compact framework 2.0 and associating Viigo to it using .net compact framework configuration utility doesn't help at all.

So how to avoid this error. I would like to enjoy Vigo and i can't. I was thinking of removing (recooking) the new IE6 beta that came with my rom to just leave the common IE6 to see if it helps.
But i don't know what to do...

Yes- we are talking about 2 different things- the known issue that Viigo needs .net CF2.0 to install, and the apparent incompatibility with IE6.

I think until Viigo fix the IE6 problem, there is probably nothing you can do apart from installing a ROM with IE5. If you only have IE5, then installing .net CF2 ensures it works OK.
