Ah right, cheers for that Steve, easy enough with okay-ish lighting a decent camera, a tripod and a release lead :)

Could you provide some feedback on sound quality while on a call (both through the earphone and the speaker i.e. handsfree). I've seen mentioned elsewhere that sound distorts at level 8 and above...

Hi, I'm not familiar with the current version of Touchflo, with the old version I'm running (custom ROM) I can adjust some of the today screen items to create space for other today apps, in this case Spb Diary (see image), not really understanding how the Touchflo and 'Home' screen work/intergrate on the D2 can this be done, or is it a case of the 'Today' screen is basically 'as is' and the Touchflo sits on top of it?

Reason I ask is to get more detailed info on the main 'Home' screen than the standard interface allows, eg more than 2 appointments, Tasks, Notes.

Sorry if this is less a Diamond question and more a Touchflo question, but as the D2 is running the latest version (and you are 'playing' with it) it seemed the right place to ask, and you did say ask if we needed specifics.

:)

Thanks

Steve

Steve

I think you can scroll through appointments on the home screen (to display those not immediately visible), but hopefully Daron can clarify this and tell us what the limit on appts, tasks and notes is before no more can be accessed by scrolling.

Okay I'll answer these in turn but first...... There will be no daily update today, as it looks like the micro-SD has been lost in transit and Mobymemory will not send a new one out until Monday at least.... so the rest of the weekly updates will probably be frozen until it arrives - god bless the post office ..... Grrrr...

Anyway on to the questions........

Sound quality is great for me voices are clearer than they were on the old Diamond and compared to the X1. I tend to use the volume on full (factory floor is noisey) and there have been no instances of distortion. I've not had the chance to test out the handsfree using a BT headset, but integrated in the the 307CC there are no issues.

The TouchFlo 3D version is the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) generation and it takes over the Today Screen completey, there is no available space left for any other application to  be loaded. This is standard on the newer instances of TF3D.

Not many appointments for me coming up but I think there without sliding the clock up you can see two appointments and 5 if the clock has slid up but I'll have to check that nerer the weeknd when more appointments become visible.

You noted that you had the Xperia X1 before this device. Can I ask how you would compare the two in usability and general performance? Which one is better?

Thanks for the info on Touchflo, gives me a better idea of how I could use it on a day to day basis.

Good luck with the SD card.

Keep the comments coming Daron.

Your day to day experiences in use of the interface (highlighting any glitches you may come across) are much appreciated and helpful in deciding whether to purchase the D2.

Can you access Notes easily? I guess a shortcut can be added to favourites... and does Notes permit use of 'writing' words/'drawing' sketches directly on the screen or must the keypad always be used?

Is character recognition (using the stylus) available as one of the methods of data input in Contacts, Calender, Word, Excel etc or are you limited to using one of the keyboards?

Thanks...

   Dave ;)
