I have used Ubook for several years on s Dell Axim... with no problems other than the sharp learning curve and clunkiness. I particularly like its ability to deal with multiple formats.

I now have an HP- Ipaq 211. The Ipaq 211 uses Mobile 6 Classic. I cannot seem to find a version to install that permits me to use a readable font size.  Everything works, but it does NOT matter if I set my OS system to LARGE size fonts, as well as LARGE for the Ubook.

The font size I get is almost too small to read.

Can anybody send me a Ubook install that will obviate this problem?
Can you suggest another workaround?:(

Thanks, urgetoo@speedymail.org

Have you tried changing the zoom levels or going into the advanced configuration and changing the font size itself.

I'm having the same problem. I've got a high-resolution display (Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, 480x800 in a 3" display). Changing the scale of the skin in uBook increases the size of the menu icons, which were darn near invisible--so that was helpful--but it has no impact on overall font size. Extra Large renders about like medium used to.

Changing the system font size overall (using registry edit) has no impact on uBook's font sizes.

I feel sure that this is a change designed to take advantage of the new higher-resolution device displays, but I think an overall re-scaling of relative font sizes would be in order.

ETA: Just for fun, here's a screen capture from my device, with the Extra Small font engaged, but with the overall skin scale set to 200%. Depending on your own monitor, this picture is actually a little larger than the screen on my device.

I have an X1.  I'm running a stock Sony Ericsson 6.1 Rom. My system text size is set to the one below the largest.
I'm running uBook 2010r0f (next to last version I think) using skin BookStart.
uBook font is SILDoulosUnicodeIPA with font size 32 (Extra Large).

That works for my eyes - I'm 52 and need reading glasses, so I can't cope with very small text.

BTW Flickr is demanding a login to see your screenshot, have you made   the picture public?  I can't see how my experience compares to yours for that reason.

One thing I think I finally figured out is that you have to edit the ubook.ini file if you have a vga screen. Otherwise the fonts will be tiny.

If I remember right, the default font sizes are listed as 20, 17, 15, 14, 13.

I have a dell axim x50v with vga. I changed the first font size to 36, then changed the others based on the original differences in size.

In other words, 36, 33, 31, 30, 29

So far it seems to be working as the font sizes are now readable.

I'm not a big user but never had to change anything on the version I installed and that was on an 800x480 screen res (WVGA).
