Interesting to see you are still using Pocket Informant as well. I dropped that a while back due to the new subscription model.

@tonybro can you put together a list of apps you use mate? Preparing my load list for the Note .......

I only installed the PI for 'old time's sake' calendar will be driven by Outlook for Android if I am honest.

Apps installed: -

  • Opera Browser
  • Outlook for Android
  • Office Apps for Android
  • OneNote
  • Skype for Business (my personal O365 sub allows it so I use to talk to my wife!)
  • eWallet
  • Feedly
  • Phone Weaver (old times sake again) but useful profile switcher and still going...
  • Fitbit app
  • BB-8 app
  • Kindle App (but need to look at other readers)
  • Sonos - not a particularly great app if I'm honest
  • Wi-Fi Analyzer - a nifty little tool
  • SwiftKey
  • Ghostery
  • Pinball Ride (good little game to while away some time)

Twitter for those occasional moments I'm bored enough to look at it (mainly Wittertainment, B&W, an old colleague who is a marketing director at a former employer of mine, Paul Ockenden of PC Pro)

I'm not a big app user truth be told which is why the lack of apps on WM10 hasn't bothered me too much. I don't 'do' social media really.

I have physically disabled some of the Google and Samsung apps - you know my thoughts on Google!

SwiftKey, always install that. Much better than the stock keyboard...

I'm sure Parcel Force will ship exchange devices straight in from the far east to businesses like Clove, if not there are plenty of others such as DPD who delivered mine who will! :)

Some apps + widgets I use:

  • Nova Launcher
  • Weather Forecast UK
  • Outlook
  • All Microsoft Office
  • Adguard
  • Amazon Music
  • Amazon
  • Ebay
  • BBC news
  • BBC iPlayer
  • ITV Hub
  • BT Sport
  • Sky Sport
  • Sky Go
  • YouView
  • Drive
  • CoPilot
  • TomTom Go
  • YouTube
  • Total Commander
  • Pebble
  • Cineworld Cinemas
  • Poweramp
  • Ad free QR Scanner
  • Phone INFO
  • Google Maps
  • Asphalt 8: Airborne
  • Kodi
  • Complete Kodi Setup Wizard

I don't have a Samsung account or any of their apps, I just don't need them. Most Google apps I don't use I have disabled / uninstalled such as Play Music, Books, Games, Movies. The ones I do use I grant them only the needed permissions to function! It's amazing how many apps will work as they should without any of the permissions they ask for. :)

I have quite a few apps I purchased over the years from the Play Store, I have Beautiful Widgets but don't use it now, Poweramp is my perennial favourite.
